Girls basketball

Trojans roll past Panthers

Center Grove pulled away for a 54-35 home win over Bloomington South on Thursday. Audrey Annee led the Trojans (7-4) with 15 points, followed by Savanna Bischoff and Ella Hobson with nine apiece.

Royals eliminated from tourney

Roncalli lost to visiting North Central in Marion County tournament play, 50-40. Claire Lindsey led the Royals (7-3) with 17 points in defeat.

Boys basketball

Cougars fall to Warriors

Host Greenwood Christian suffered a 54-43 defeat against Covenant Christian. Blake Shewmaker had 16 points for the Cougars (1-3), while Max Booher added 11.

Swimming and diving

Woodmen split home dual

Greenwood’s girls held on for an 87-83 win over Brebeuf Jesuit on Thursday, while the boys took a 102-59 loss. The Woodmen girls won the medley and 200 freestyle relays and also got individual wins from Ryann Marker (200 and 500 freestyle), Naomi Weaver (100 butterfly) and Eleanor Guipe (100 breaststroke). Ben Wehnert finished first in the boys 500 free.

Third-ranked Center Grove remained unbeaten with a 40-12 victory at fifth-ranked Cathedral on Wednesday night.
