Jack Lee Wuensch

BARGERSVILLE, IN.

Jack Lee Wuensch, 88, a long-time resident of Bargersville, IN passed away Friday, December 16, 2022, at Community South Hospital in Indianapolis, IN. Jack was born on June 14, 1934, in Paragon, Indiana. He was the only son of Anthony Roman Wuensch and Corabelle (Rainbolt) Wuensch and was a 1952 graduate of Center Grove High School. Jack married the love of his life, Shirley L. (Bowman) Wuensch on February 10, 1954. He farmed nearly all of his adult life, raising hogs and grain farming; in addition to working at the Indianapolis Stock Yards for over 20 years where he worked for the commission firms of Producers, Dowden Company and Atkinson, McMaster, Coburn, Endsley &Sedwick Company. He also drove a school bus for the Center Grove Community School Corporation for 4 years, until deciding to retire to devote all of his time to raising cattle and grain farming with his son Kent. Jack enjoyed watching basketball and baseball, as well as occasional trips to the casinos, but above all, he was devoted to his family and loved working on his farm.

Jack is survived by his wife, Shirley L. (Bowman) Wuensch of Bargersville, his son, Kent Wuensch (Teresa) of Trafalgar, IN, his daughter, Darlena Riley (Bill Lucid) of Bargersville, IN, and will live on through his loving family that includes two granddaughters: Michele Burress (John) of Bargersville, IN and Christen Hall (Steven) of Indianapolis, IN, one grandson: Matthew Wuensch (Chani) of Warner Robins, GA, six great-grandchildren, two step-grandchildren: Daven (Jill) Lawalin and Jamie ( Seth) Rainwater, and four step-great-grandchildren.

Pastor David Halcomb will conduct a celebration of life memorial service on Wednesday December 21, 2022, at 4PM at Swartz Family Community Mortuary and Memorial Center 300 South U.S. 31 (Morton Street) in Franklin, IN and will be live-streamed at www.swartzmortuary.com. The family will receive friends on Wednesday December 21, 2022, from 1PM until service time at the mortuary.
