Lancers fall to Sparkplugs

Edinburgh suffered a 44-18 home loss to Speedway on Wednesday. Gracie Crawhorn scored 11 points in defeat for the Lancers (6-11).

Royals top Cougars

Class 3A No. 1 Roncalli edged third-ranked Greenfield-Central, 42-27. The Royals (12-1) got victories from Peyton Schoettle (106 pounds), Carrington Pitts (120), Alex Plahitko (126), Will May (132), Braden Getz (145), Bryce Lowery (152), Brody Heidelberger (160), Luke Hansen (195) and Royce Deckard (220).

Men’s basketball loses to Engineers

Franklin College dropped an 85-66 decision at Rose-Hulman on Wednesday evening. Ryan Bostic totaled 15 points for the Grizzlies (7-5, 3-2 HCAC), while Lynn King added 11 and Trey Flatt tallied 10.

Franklin Little League signups coming

Registration for Franklin Little League will take place each of the next five Sundays (Jan. 8 through Feb. 5) from noon to 3 p.m. at Beeson Hall (396 Branigin Blvd.). Players between the ages of 4 and 16 are all welcome to join. Cost is $70 for T-ball and $90 for baseball or softball. Coaching volunteers are welcomed.
