GIRLS SWIMMING

Prusiecki sets new diving mark for Trojans

Center Grove diver Mia Prusiecki scored a program-record 341.95 points in the 1-meter competition in helping the Trojans defeat visiting Bloomington South, 133-53, on Wednesday.

Also victorious for CG were Tenley Wilkins in the 50-yard freestyle, Lexi Stuart in the 100 freestyle, Grace Clarkston in the 100 backstroke, Laney Brooks in the 100 breaststroke, Clara Brandon in the 200 free and Lara Phipps in the 200 individual medley and 100 butterfly.

The 200 medley relay of Clarkston, Brooks, Kayla Fischer and Addyson Matern prevailed, as did the 200 free relay of Clarkston, Stuart, Wilkins and Phipps. The victorious 400 freestyle relay was comprised of Brandon, Stuart, Wilkins and Phipps.

Trojans win meet against Bloomington South

Center scored downed visiting Bloomington South, 112-64, led by Sam Smith winning two individual events and taking part in the victorious 200-yard medley relay.

Winners for the Trojans were Evan Hernandez in the 50 freestyle, Smith in the 100 butterfly and 500 free, and Henry Lyness in the 100 backstroke. Winning the 200 medley relay were Lyness, Connor Conklin, Smith and Hernandez. The Trojans took the 200 freestyle relay, which was made up of Jonah Brandon, Isaac Lewis, Max Hite and Anthony Cuadros.

Warriors rally to defeat Golden Bears

Junior forward Gwen Higdon scored 19 points and freshman center Carly VonDielingen added 18 as Whiteland, trailing by 13 points in the third quarter, rallied to defeat Shelbyville, 58-55.

Whiteland (12-8), winners of eight of their last 10 games, host Franklin on Saturday.
