Cougars win eighth in a row

Greenwood Christian extended its win streak to eight games with a 51-40 triumph over Traders Point Christian on Tuesday. Blake Shewmaker scored 15 points to lead the Class A No. 9 Cougars (14-6), while Max Booher added 11 and Evan McIntire had 10.

Ankney, Trojans outpace Pioneers

Marcus Ankney’s 36 points powered Class 4A No. 5 Center Grove to an 82-72 victory over visiting Mooresville. Ethan McComb chipped in 14 points and Jalen Bundy 10 for the Trojans (18-2).

Women’s basketball loses sixth straight

In what was likely its final game of the season, Franklin College dropped a 62-54 home date against Mount St. Joseph on Tuesday evening. Jordan Coon had 16 points in defeat for the Grizzlies (8-15, 7-11 HCAC), while Jasmine Walker totaled 12 points and 12 rebounds.

Men’s basketball falls on road

Franklin College suffered a 76-68 setback at Mount St. Joseph. Jack Hendricks led the way with 18 points for the Grizzlies (13-10, 9-7 HCAC), who also got 16 points from Ryan Bostic and 12 from Jacob Deere.
