FRANKLIN
Charlotte J. (Swiggett) Morris, (January 20, 1932 – March 2, 2023) lived a life devoted to family and faith. Giving to others was her greatest joy.
She was born Jan. 20, 1932, in Franklin to the late Wilber F. and Ethel (Logan) Swiggett. Charlotte married Richard E. Morris on Sept. 16, 1950, and celebrated 59 years of marriage until the time of his passing in 2010.
She is survived by her daughter, Patti (Garry) O’Neal of McCordsville; son, Joe (Casey Hayes) Morris of Franklin; one grandson, David (Brittani) O’Neal of Fortville; and three great grandchildren; Jaksyn, Julian, and Lucillia O’Neal. Also survived by nieces, Donna (Chris) McCarty of Franklin, Dianne Willis of Franklin and nephew, Todd (Becky) Willis of Greenwood and many nieces and nephews.
She was also preceded in passing by one brother, Wilber F. Swiggett Jr.; and four sisters, Katherine Swiggett, Francis Combs, Ruth Archer, and Pat Willis.
Charlotte was a 1949 graduate of Franklin High School.
She was employed for many years by Johnson County REMC, retiring in 1986. Charlotte was a loving and compassionate wife, mother, grandmother, and friend. She touched many lives.
The family would like to express their appreciation to Homeview Memory Care for the kindness shown to Charlotte while in their care.
A private family graveside service will be held. Flinn & Maguire Funeral Home will handle arrangements including burial at Greenlawn Cemetery.
