Here’s the latest on I-69 work on the southside

Work on Interstates 69 and 465 in the I-69 Finish Line work zone will continue with a few changes this week.

In Johnson County, as construction of connections to the State Road 144 interchange continues, Huggin Hollow Road at State Road 144 remains right turn only. Motorists wishing to go eastbound on State Road 144 from Huggin Hollow Road should follow the signs to southbound Old State Road 37 and use the signalized intersection at State Road 144, according to a construction update from the Indiana Department of Transportation.

On I-465, motorists should expect single-lane and nightly double-lane closures on I-465 between I-65 and I-70 this week. Crews are prepping for the second weekend of I-465 restrictions, which are tentatively scheduled for March 24-27, INDOT officials say.

Traffic patterns on the southwest side of Indianapolis changed this weekend to allow I-69 Finish Line to enter its next phase of construction: widening and rebuilding I-465 eastbound, including building a new bridge over the White River. The U.S. 31 southbound to I-465 westbound ramp closure that was put into place this weekend will remain in place through 2024, INDOT officials say.

The most current information about closures and restrictions can be found at 511in.org or INDOT’s TrafficWise app.
