Drivers on Interstate 465 will face numerous changes and delays to their commutes starting today and continuing all weekend.
There will be single-lane and nightly double-lane closures on I-465 between Interstate 65 and Interstate 70 on Indianapolis’s southwest side. The restrictions will begin at 8 p.m. Friday and continue until 5 a.m. Monday, according to a construction update from the Indiana Department of Transportation.
With the weekend restrictions mentioned above, the following ramps will be closed to ease congestion and reduce traffic flow in the work zone:
- Eastbound I-70 to southbound I-465
- S.R. 67/Kentucky Avenue to eastbound I-465
- Mann Road to eastbound I-465
- S.R. 37/Harding Street to eastbound I-465
During the double-lane restriction, the speed limit in both directions of I-465 will be 45 mph.
