The building many still call Matlock Ford is being torn down to make way for a brand-new dealership.
The old building transitioned owners years ago, but long-time customers still remember it and the old owners with nostalgia today. With the building’s demolition, a piece of history for Ford lovers is disappearing, but a new state-of-the-art dealership is already serving customers, said Bill Mahoney, Hubler Ford Franklin business manager.
“It has been an iconic place in Franklin,” Mahoney said. “We are very respectful of the Matlock family’s contribution to the community. We hope to continue and elevate that with the new dealership.”
