Benjamin Matthew Church

Benjamin Matthew Church passed away on Tuesday April 25th after a brief illness. Born March 31st 1990 in Beech Grove Indiana to Jerry M (Matt) Church and Deana F Bradley Jackson.

He is survived by his parents Matt (Beth) Church and Deana (Jim) Jackson, grandparents Brenda and Jerry Church, siblings Morgan Fender, Briar Walker, Ben Walker, Ashley Jackson, Chris Jackson, and Taylor Jackson, nephews and nieces Jaxon Lewis, Ethan Lewis, Howie Fender, Gavin Walker, Faith Jackson, Jayden Jackson, and Easton Jackson.

He is proceeded in death by grandmother Carolyn S Bradley, uncle Curtis A Bradley, great grandparents John Ellis and Beulah Faye Lewis, grandparents John and Agnes Badger, great grandparents William Church and Edna Church, and Roy and Mary Farr.

Benjamin was a true iconic artist, but so much more. His family and friends knew him as a teddy bear, a gentle giant with a huge heart. He was such a joy with the sweetest smile. He accomplished what he set out to do in such a short period of time for all the right reasons. Anyone that met him, said he was the most selfless genuine person they ever met. His peers saw him as a spark for a whole culture, a true legend. He had an eye for anything that was different or unique. He wanted to make great art that would forever be remembered. He was excited to bring everyone he loved into his journey. He followed his dreams and kept moving mountains. Seeing him grow up through all the stages in life has been nothing short of amazing. He inspired others to follow their dreams. We all could tell he just had something special. He was a blessing and always will be cherished.

Visitation for family and friends will be held on Saturday, May 6, 2023 from 11:00 a.m. to 2:00 p.m. at Flinn and Maguire Funeral Home, 2898 North Morton Street, (U.S. 31 North) in Franklin with a Celebration of Ben’s life on Saturday, May 6 beginning at 2:00 p.m. at the funeral home. Dave Crandal will officiate. Burial will follow at Greenlawn Cemetery in Franklin, Indiana.

In lieu of flowers, the family is suggesting contributions be made to further Ben’s research for his sister, Morgan to regain her eye sight again so she may see her children one day.
