Bargersville traffic stop yields dealing arrest

Bargersville police recovered several ounces of drugs following a traffic stop Monday.

Ashlie N. Murray, 39 of Columbus, was arrested on preliminary charges of dealing narcotics, possession of methamphetamine, possession of narcotics and possession of marijuana.

Murray was arrested following a traffic stop around 12:46 a.m. Monday. Officers observed her vehicle crossing the centerline multiple times before pulling her over near the intersection of Whiteland Road and County Road 200 West, according to a press release from Bargersville police.

While investigating the traffic stop, police found several types of drugs, which are described as “individually packaged with the intent to sell” in the release. Police recovered 60 grams of meth, 23 grams of LSD, two grams of marijuana and prescription medication in an undisclosed amount.

“This is yet another great example of our officers working hard to keep the town of Bargersville safe,” the release says. “Great work to the officers involved in keeping these dangerous drugs off of our streets.”

Murray was booked into the Johnson County jail following the arrest.
