Grizzly Cubs top Golden Bears
Franklin remained unbeaten with a 5-0 win at Shelbyville on Thursday. Chelsie Rayl, Emma Williams and Mallory Luse swept the singles points for the 10th-ranked Grizzly Cubs, who got doubles wins from Ailyn Hendricks and Marnie Moore in the No. 1 spot and Emma Sappenfield and Meleah Murphy at No. 2.
Trojans beat No. 20 Delta
Center Grove picked up a 4-1 triumph over Delta at Mt. Vernon. Sloane Small and Emerson Donaldson won in straight sets at second and third singles for the No. 14 Trojans, while Ava Beecher and Lauren Dick took a three-setter at first doubles and Anna Runkle and Peri Small prevailed at No. 2 doubles.
Lancers come up short
Edinburgh was defeated by Indianapolis Lutheran, 4-1. Izzy Richardson got the Lancers’ lone point with a 6-0, 6-1 victory at second singles.
Boys golf
Grizzly Cubs edge Artesians
Franklin squeaked past Martinsville on Thursday, 172-178. Reid Davidson led the Grizzly Cubs with a 41, while Jake Bechert carded a 43 and Jake and Jack Lock each finished with 44.
Edinburgh lose to Panthers
Despite a 37 from medalist Max Blandford, Edinburgh wound up on the short end of a 159-174 score against Jennings County on Thursday.

Braves finish second at WIC meet
Indian Creek posted school-record times in the 4×800 and 4×100 relays on the way to a second-place team finish at the Western Indiana Conference meet on Thursday. The 4×800 quartet finished first, while the Braves got runner-up efforts from the 4×100 team, Luke Neibert (800 meters), Lance Butler (200) and Braxton Freeman (high jump).

Warriors fall in extra frame
Whiteland was edged by Perry Meridian, 3-2, in eight innings on Thursday. Drew Helton had a home run and two RBIs for the Warriors (10-10, 6-6 Mid-State)
