GREENWOOD
Anna L. (Hannoy) Towner died peacefully in Greenwood, Indiana. She was born in Union City, Indiana, the only daughter of Eli and Minnie Hannoy, who preceded her in death as well as three brothers Paul Loy, Herbert Loy and Eli Hannoy, Jr. She is survived by two daughters, Karen Rosas and Susan Young, one perfect grandson, Andrew (Whitney) Young and two great grandsons, Carter and Eli. In addition to her parents and brothers, Anna was preceded in death by her beloved sons-in-law, Alejandro “Alex” Rosas and James Young.
Ann was a licensed Property &Casualty insurance agent and enjoyed serving many clients in Union City, Terre Haute, Greenwood and Indianapolis.
She was a devoted Christian and a lifetime member of United Presbyterian Church, USA, where she served as a Sunday School teacher, Deacon, and Co-Leader of the Shepherding Program for 30 years as well as Prayer Chain and various committees.
Her happiest times were being with family and friends. She was a member of the Red Hats and the Greenwood Library Prime Time Book Club. Her favorite past time was reading, board games, cards, and cross book puzzles.
Funeral service will be held at 3:00 PM on Saturday, July 29, 2023, at Greenwood Presbyterian Church, 102 West Main Street, Greenwood. The family will receive friends from 1:00 PM until the time of the service Saturday at the church. Memorial contributions may be directed to the Greenwood Presbyterian Church or the Greenwood Public Library.
