INDIANAPOLIS
Georgia L. Shea Smith, 92, of Indianapolis, passed away on July 30, 2023. She was born on October 24, 1930 in Indianapolis, IN to the late Nicholas and Opal Robinson Chronis.
After attending High School, she was employed with Meridian Mutual Insurance Company, Roselyn Bakery and was a wonderful homemaker for her family.
In her leisure time she thoroughly enjoyed playing cards, going to the casino and, most importantly, being surrounded by her family.
Survivors include sons Dave (Camille) Shea, Tony (Phyllis) Shea, Steve (Shelley) Shea, daughters Connie Stanifer and Amy (Mike) Tomey, 12 Grandchildren and 9 Great Grandchildren.
She was preceded in death by her 1st husband David T Shea, her daughter Coleen Pennell Roten, her 2nd husband Robert Smith and her son-in-law (Donald) Garry Stanifer.
Visitation will be on Friday, August 4, 2023 from 4:00 PM – 8:00 PM at G. H. Herrmann Madison Avenue Funeral Home, 5141 Madison Avenue, Indianapolis, IN. Funeral Service will be conducted on Saturday, August 5, 2023 at 11:30 AM. She will be laid to rest at Holy Cross Cemetery.
