Mail-in absentee ballot application deadline is Thursday

Thursday is the final day for county clerks to receive an absentee ballot application from an applicant requesting delivery of an absentee ballot by mail.

The application to request a mail-in ballot must be received no later than 11:59 p.m. Thursday, 12 days before the election.

Johnson County voters may submit applications in person at the Johnson Courthouse, 5 E. Jefferson St., Franklin, from 8 a.m. to 4:30 p.m.

Applications may also be obtained by phone at 317-346-4467, fax at 317-736-3798 or through the Indiana Voter Portal online.

Completed absentee ballots are due back to the county clerk’s office by noon Nov. 6.

Absentee in-person voting is already underway at the Johnson County Courthouse in Franklin. Voters can come in from 8:30 a.m. to 4:30 p.m. Monday through Friday, and 8 a.m. to 3 p.m. on Saturday.
