Franklin picks up home win
Class 4A No. 10 Franklin took a big step toward a Mid-State Conference championship with a 60-42 win over Mooresville on Friday night. Erica Buening had 14 points for the Grizzly Cubs (15-2, 4-0), followed by Aubrey Runyon with 12 and Emma Sappenfield with 11.

Cougars prevail at Speedway
Max Booher scored 20 points, including the game-winning basket in the final minute, to lift Class A No. 6 Greenwood Christian to a 47-46 triumph at Speedway. Ben Comerford had 13 points for the Cougars (7-3), while Jordan Taulman turned in a pivotal defensive effort to keep the Sparkplugs’ top scorer in single digits.
