Annee, Wirts, Wiseman named Indiana All-Stars

One of Johnson County’s most notable girls basketball seasons in quite some time has yielded three Indiana All-Star selections.

Indian Creek’s Faith Wiseman and Center Grove teammates Audrey Annee and Rachel Wirts were all named to the 13-player team, which was released Monday.

The All-Star squad will play a June 5 exhibition against the Indiana Junior All-Stars on June 5 and then a pair of games against the Kentucky All-Stars — one in the Bluegrass State on June 7 and another at Gainbridge Fieldhouse the following night.

Wiseman averaged 18.2 points, 11.9 rebounds, 4.8 assists and 3.9 blocked shots for the Braves, who won a fourth consecutive Class 3A sectional championship. The Indiana University recruit finished her career with 1,456 points and 1,072 boards, becoming just the fourth girls player from Johnson County to join the 1,000-1,000 club.

Annee led Center Grove in scoring at 13.2 points per game, shooting 41% from 3-point range (91 for 223), while Wirts averaged 12.1 points and 7.0 rebounds for a Trojans team that went 27-2 and reached the Class 4A semistate final before losing to eventual champion Lawrence Central. The two will play college ball at Army and Villanova, respectively.

Also on the team are Emma Haan of Zionsville, Alli Harness of Carroll (Flora), Talia Harris of Fishers, Ellery Minch of Mt. Vernon, Jordyn Poole of Fort Wayne Snider, Camryn Runner of Hamilton Heights, Chloe Spreen of Bedford North Lawrence, Lauren Walsh of Penn, Reagan Wilson of Noblesville and Juliann Woodard of Jennings County.
