Anna Lucille Scott

TRAFALGAR

Anna Lucille (Sowders) Scott, age 85 passed away peacefully on Sunday morning, March 24, 2024 at Community Hospital South in Indianapolis. She was a resident of Trafalgar.

Anna was born August 16, 1938 in Warren County, Kentucky to her parents, the late Herman and Christine Sowders. Anna retired from Eli Lilly in December, 1993 after 30 years of service as a quality control technician.

She was a loving and caring mother to her four children Glenn, Stephen, Dana, and Jay. She loved spending time with her family and would cheer on her grandchildren during their sporting events. In her free time, Anna enjoyed watching sports on tv, and would cheer for the Indianapolis Colts and her Kentucky Wildcats. She also found enjoyment working jig saw puzzles, flower gardening and traveling internationally as well as throughout the United States. Anna was a social butterfly and belonged to many organizations such as the Garden Club of Brown County, the Red Hat Society and was a member of the Morning Star Baptist Church in Trafalgar.

She will be missed by her children, Glenn (Catherine) Scott of Morgantown, Stephen (Debbie) Scott of Trafalgar, Dana (Karen Kinney) Scott of Greenwood and Jay (Julie) Scott of Brown County; sister Mary Ruth (Richard) Cole of Cicero; grandchildren, Jensen (Misty) Scott of Morgantown, Jodi Scott of Westfield, Jake (Ashleigh) Scott of Morgantown, Josh (Melissa) Scott of Trafalgar, Jeremiah (Marcie) Scott of Evansville, Deanna Burton of Trafalgar, Ethan (Lauren) Scott of Brown County, Lydia (Fady) Megally of Zionsville, Jessica Cave of Brown County and Taylor (Tori) Kinney of Noblesville, 18 great-grandchildren and 1 great-great-grandchild on the way.

Anna was preceded in death by her parents and siblings; Jewell Ferris and Charles Sowders.

Friends may call from 4-8 p.m. on Wednesday, March 27th at Meredith-Clark Funeral Home Cremation &Personalization Center, 179 E. Mulberry Street in Morgantown. Pastor Ethan Scott will conduct a graveside service at 11 a.m. on Thursday, March 28th at Fairview Cemetery: 418 Fairview Ave in Tipton.
