Jean Ann (Clark) Bennett, 75, of Greenwood, IN, passed away at home surrounded by her loving family on Friday, March 22, 2024.
Jean was born December 18, 1948 in Niles, Michigan to Eugene and Josephine Clark. Jean was the oldest of nine children. She is lovingly survived by her eight siblings: Jane, Tom, Joan, Tim, Craig, Kent, Brian, and Lynn. She is also lovingly survived by in-laws, nieces, nephews, and a host of longtime friends. Jean was preceded in death by her parents and a baby sister.
In August of 1967, Jean met her future husband, Mike. They married May 4, 1968. They were blessed with three children: Nick Bennett of Franklin, IN, Jenny (Kevin) Ott of Greenwood, IN, and Andrea (Tim) Burton of Edinburgh, IN. They have eight grandchildren: Chris, Caleb, Amber (Garry), Emily (Ben), Kaitlin (Bryan), Jared, Ezra, and Eli. They have four great-grandsons: Michael, Logan, Elliot, and Baby Yoder to be born in July.
Jean will always be remembered for her love for God and her love for others. Jean loved baking, playing games, traveling/seeing the world, attending various sporting events, and completing puzzles. No matter the event, Jean loved spending time with her family. Jean also loved going on walks with her dog, Josie-May.
After twenty years of service as a sales associate, Jean retired from Sears in 2016. She was a member of Grace Assembly of God and attended the Grace Retirees small group.
A Celebration of Life service will be held on Thursday, March 28, 2024 at 1:00pm at Jessen Funeral Home & Simple Cremation ~ Whiteland Chapel with visitation from 11:00am until the service hour.
