FRANKLIN, IN.
Janet Lee (Harris) Coffman, 85 of Franklin, IN and formerly of Kingman, AZ passed away Sunday, April 21, 2024, at Morning Pointe of Franklin.
She was born November 25, 1938, in Somerset, Pulaski County, Kentucky to Earl Bill Harris and Hazel (Poynter) Harris. She married Larry L. Coffman on September 13, 1958, at Community Congregational Church in Franklin, IN; he preceded her in death on February 26, 2021.
Janet was a 1957 graduate of Clark Township High School in Johnson County, IN.
She had been a secretary for the Water Resources department for the state of Arizona for fifteen years.
Janet was a member of Hurricane Community Church formerly known as Community Congregational Church in Franklin where for decades grew her faith and foundation.
Survivors include her daughter Gava Coffman Mudd of Franklin, IN, her son Scott A. Coffman (Mindy) of Morgantown, IN, four grandchildren Amber Cox (Kevin) of Avon, IN, Amy Danaher (Justin) of Westfield, IN, Ethan Coffman (Chelsea) of Franklin, IN and Melanie Mudd of Franklin, IN, eight great grandchildren Ainslee, Jacob, Avery, Ryder, Hattie, Miles, Zayden and Blake, two sisters Susy Sciscoe of Greenwood, IN and Linda Taylor (Gordon) of Greenwood, IN.
She was preceded in death by her parents, husband, a brother Billy Harris and brother-in-law Steve Sciscoe.
The Reverend Shan Rutherford will conduct a memorial service on Friday, April 26, 2024, at 6PM at Swartz Family Community Mortuary and Memorial Center 300 South U.S. 31 (Morton Street) in Franklin, IN and will be live-streamed at www.swartzmortuary.com/obituary/janetcoffman. Friends may call Friday, April 26, 2024, from 5PM until service time at the mortuary.
