Trojans hammer Olympians

Class 4A No. 4 Center Grove batted around twice during a 12-run third inning on the way to a 17-1 victory at Columbus East on Wednesday. Pitchers Conner Vander Luitgaren, Talan Richey and Leo McEnulty combined on a one hitter for the Trojans (2-0). Carson Bush and Kobe Cherry each had two hits and two RBIs in the win, while Noah Coy drove in four runs and Tristan Yerman and A.J. Beggs knocked in two apiece.

Lancers dominate Orioles

Edinburgh took full advantage of 11 walks and eight errors in rolling to a 21-4 win over Indiana Deaf. Gabe Bennett scored four runs for the Lancers, while Austin Brockman and Eli Turner each came in to score three times. Jared Myers and Avynn Whitaker each drove in a pair of runs.

Center Grove edged by Eagles

A late comeback bid came up short for host Center Grove in an 8-7 loss to Zionsville on Wednesday. Riley Janda led the Class 4A No. 2 Trojans (2-1) by going 3 for 4 with a triple, a home run and five runs batted in, while Brynn Meyer had three hits and scored three runs.
