Edinburgh wins third straight

Already matching its win total from a year ago, Edinburgh continued a perfect start to the season with a 10-4 triumph over Brown County on Thursday. Avynn Whitaker threw a complete-game two-hitter for the Lancers (3-0), giving up just one earned run while striking out a dozen. The junior helped his own cause at the plate with two hits and two runs batted in, while Austin Brockman went 2 for 3 with a triple and an RBI.

Woodmen open with extra-inning win

Landen Smith went 3 for 4 with three RBIs and four stolen bases, leading Greenwood to an 8-7 victory over Brownstown Central in 10 innings on Thursday evening. Mavrick Pauley drove in three runs, including the game-winner, for the Woodmen (1-0), while Spencer Fay picked up the win in relief of Brendan Bailey and Logan Connor.

Lancers suffer home defeat

An 11-run fourth inning by Living Water Homeschool doomed Edinburgh to an 18-6 home loss on Wednesday evening. Kyah Streeval paced the Lancers (0-3) in a losing effort, going 2 for 3 with a home run and three RBIs, while Eloise Cox drove in a pair of runs.
