GREENWOOD
Rudell “Rudy” Richardson, 84, of Greenwood, passed away on March 27, 2024, just a day following his 64th wedding anniversary. He was born on October 4, 1939 in Indianapolis, IN to the late Frank and Dorothy (Booher) Richardson.
Rudy dedicated 40 years working as a Brick Layer. He was a Ham Radio Operator (KN9C) for 42 years. Rudy was an Eagle Scout, loved the outdoors and was an avid reader. He enjoyed spending Tuesday’s and Thursday’s with his coffee buddies. Rudy dearly loved his wife, children, grandchildren and great grandchildren.
Rudy is survived by his wife of 64 years, Susan (Kirtley) Richardson; daughter, Kimberly (Dane) Houchin; grandchildren, Jacob (Whitney) Houchin, Justin Houchin, and Jena (Dakotah) Edwards; and great grandchildren, Rose, Adalynn, Ryker, Emma, Remington, and Rudy.
He was preceded in death by his daughter, Tamara Richardson; and brothers, Ron and Don Richardson.
Services will be held privately for the family at G. H. Herrmann Greenwood Funeral Home at The Gardens of Olive Branch, 1605 S. State Road 135, Greenwood, IN.
Rudy will be laid to rest in Forest Lawn Memory Gardens.
