Whiteland dropped a tight battle with Lawrence North on Thursday, suffering a 26-24, 25-19, 25-23 setback. The loss drops the Warriors to 7-6 on the year.
Franklin College
New women’s tennis coach named
Staci LaGrange, who played at Franklin College under longtime coach Rusty Hughes in the 1990s before continuing her career at the University of Indianapolis, was named as the successor to the retiring Hughes by Grizzlies athletic director Lance Marshall. A longtime private coach, her most recent team experience came with the boys team at Franklin Community Middle School in 2021-22.
