Letter: Trump’s election best thing for America

To the editor:

Never mind the fact America’s slide into oblivion has been slowed (maybe stopped). Never mind many dubious politicians have been ousted. Never mind the Clinton crime family has been dealt a severe (maybe a deathblow) setback. All those events are insignificant.

What really matters: our minds, psyche and ears will not have to endure the cackle of Hillary Clinton’s voice and laugh. This fact may add years to lives of many Americans — perhaps a few minutes to mine.

Donald Trump has won the presidency, but I do not envy his path. He was elected by the “deplorables,” the fly-over persons, the “uneducated blue collar workers,” an older group who remember what America is all about, others who ignored what the pundits preached and just downright, real Americans.

He is not beholden to any big donors, the Republican party, to the TV monopoly, to Hollywood, to any newspaper. He was elected by we the people. We have put our trust, faith, our very lives and sacred honor in Donald Trump. And millions of us hope and pray he will be strong enough and have the courage to right the ship, get a good (moral) compass reading and “Make America great again.”

And, finally: Ain’t God good to Indiana!
