<h4><strong>Grizzly Cubs defeat Cardinals</strong></h4>
Reece Thomson scored 23 points to help lead Franklin to a 67-55 home victory against Southport on Saturday night.

Thomson connected on five 3-pointers in the victory. Blaine Wentzell added 13 points and Drew Byerly had 10 for the Grizzly Cubs (10-6).

<h4><strong>Women’s hoops wins 2nd straight</strong></h4>
Ashlin Aycock scored 16 points and Franklin College rode a dominant second-half performance to a 78-60 victory against Defiance on Saturday.

Down three at the midway point, the Grizzlies (6-12, 5-7 HCAC) held the visitors to 5 of 24 shooting in the second half while making 16 of 26 field goals at the other end.

Riley Achenbach finished with 12 points for Franklin, while Erin Bradley and Bayleigh Walker each contributed 10.
<h4><strong>Junior’s career day lifts men’s hoops</strong></h4>
Atticus Felling exploded for a career-best 29 points as Franklin College routed Defiance, 86-66, on Saturday.

The victory marked the first time the Grizzlies (6-13, 5-7 HCAC) back-to-back games for the first time this season.

Jordan Anderson added 16 points for Franklin, which put the game away with an 18-3 run in the third quarter.
