Letter: Residents challenged to donate to Ronald McDonald House this month

To the editor:

Positive ways to make contributions to one’s “community” need not always be expensive.

McDonald’s customers, for example, have an opportunity during each store visit to make a donation to the Ronald McDonald House. If you are not familiar with the mission of the Ronald McDonald House and/or are interested in other ways to give, you may want to visit the Indianapolis facility’s webpage at https://www.rmhccin.org/group-opportunities/.

During each drive-through visit I made in April, I dropped the coins I received back in change into the donation bin at the drive-through window. While my few coins might not make much difference to the charity’s fundraising efforts, imagine what a difference could result if everyone did that.

I would like to challenge other Johnson County residents to do the same during the month of May.
