County unemployment continues to drop

<p>The county’s unemployment rate dropped from March.</p>
<p>In April, the unemployment rate in Johnson County was 2.5 percent, with about 2,100 people out of work, according to data from the Indiana Department of Workforce Development.</p>
<p>The rate is down from March, when the county’s unemployment rate was 2.7 percent. The percent is the same as last year, when 2.5 percent of workers — or nearly 2,000 people — were unemployed, according to the state data.</p>
<p>Statewide, the April unemployment rate remained the same as March at 3.2 percent. Last year the unemployment rate was 3.5 percent in April, according to state data.</p>
