Men arrested after taking items from mall kiosk

<p>Two men were arrested after police said they attempted to steal items from a kiosk and hit a store clerk in the middle of the Greenwood Park Mall on Thursday morning.</p>
<p>Brandon Mefford, 18, of Indianapolis, and Kyle Woodrum, 18, of Camby, were arrested on a charge of robbery. Mefford was also arrested on charges of intimidation, battery, disorderly conduct and resisting law enforcement.</p>
<p>An employee at a phone case kiosk at the Greenwood Park Mall told police that Woodrum pocketed a phone case worth $25 around 11 a.m. Thursday. When the employee confronted Woodrum, the employee said he was shoved by Woodrum and punched by Mefford, a Greenwood Police Department report said.</p>[sc:text-divider text-divider-title="Story continues below gallery" ]
<p>Woodrum and Mefford then grabbed more cell phone cases and ran when the employee told them he was calling security, the report said.</p>
<p>Police caught up with the two men. While being arrested inside the mall, Mefford didn’t follow commands and threatened the officer and his family, the report said.</p>
<p>Woodrum, 8718 Hosta Way, and Mefford, 6337 River Valley Way, were arrested and taken to the Johnson County jail. Woodrum was released on $3,300 bond. Mefford was held on $7,500 bond.</p>
