<p><strong>To the editor:</strong></p><p>Mike Braun may not be perfect but he started a business, hired workers, has a successful business and has hired more workers. This type of thing is the American way and one of the things that has made this country the great icon of the world today. And as far as purchasing items from China, don’t we all do this at one time or another as most of the items are pretty good quality today since they have copied our methods and designs.</p><p>President Trump is trying to do something about the horrible trade unbalance for now our jobs are still going out of the country and a lot of them are landing in China where they pay low wages.</p><p>The East Coast liberals may pour tens of millions of dollars into Indiana trying to defeat him with someone who only gives lip service but I try to look at the whole picture.</p><p><p><strong>Forrest Chambers</strong></p><p><p><strong>White River Township</strong></p>
