Carol Ann Simpson, 51, of Columbus, passed from this life unexpectedly at 11:37 a.m. Thursday, December 27, 2018 at Johnson Memorial Hospital Emergency Department in Franklin.
</p>
<p>
Carol was born March 23, 1967, in Richmond, Kentucky. She was the daughter of William Earl Walker and Elizabeth Ann Simpson.
</p>
<p>
A longtime health care provider, Carol was a licensed practical nurse at Silver Oaks Health Campus in Columbus and currently at the Indiana Masonic Home in Franklin.
</p>
<p>
She was a member of Faith, Hope &amp; Love Church of God in Christ. Her true passion in life was her family and spending time with her children and grandchildren.
</p>
<p>
Carol is survived by her father, William Earl Walker of Richmond, Kentucky; daughters, Latisha Carter of Columbus, Twanna Simpson of Columbus, Santoya Simpson of Columbus and Whitney Simpson of Columbus; grandchildren, Danaysha Simpson, Lakell Carter, Nariah Simpson, Trinity Carter, Kne’lijiah Simpson and Zaccheous Carter; sisters, Roxanna Gipson of Columbus, Susan Simpson of Richmond, Kentucky and Margaret Smith of Columbus; nephews, Richard Simpson of Columbus and Jamar Simpson of Richmond, Kentucky; great-niece, Alexi Simpson; and a great-nephew, Asher Simpson.
</p>
<p>
Carol was preceded in death by her mother, Elizabeth Ann Simpson; and a grandson, Trey Shawn Mullins.
</p>
<p>
The funeral service will be held at 12 p.m. (Noon) Friday, January 4, 2019 at Faith, Hope &amp; Love Church of God in Christ, 11401 East State Road 7, Elizabethtown, Indiana 47232. Pastor Mike Harris will officiate.
</p>
<p>
Family and friends may gather for visitation from 10 a.m. until service time Friday at the church.
</p>
<p>
Carol will be laid to rest at the Garland Brook Cemetery in Columbus.
</p>
<p>
Memorial contributions may be made to her church: Faith, Hope &amp; Love Church of God in Christ.
</p>
<p>
