Ronald Lee Bruce, 81, of Greenwood, passed away on December 12, 2020. He was born on February 20, 1939 in Indianapolis, IN to the late George and Josephine (Wetzel) Bruce.
</p>
<p>
Ron retired from the Indiana State Police Department in 1998 after 32 years of dedication. He went on to work for the Greenwood Police Department for 9 years. He was a member of Greenwood Moose Lodge and American Legion.
</p>
<p>
Ron will be lovingly remembered by his wife, Charlotte "Charley" Bruce; sister, Jody Parient, of Attica, IN; children, Cathy (Luke) Trice, of TN, Robert (Shari) Bruce, of Indpls, IN, and Chasity (Jerry) Blackburn, of TN; and 14 grandchildren.
</p>
<p>
He was preceded in death by his brother, Richard Bruce; sons, Mark, Rick and Nick Bruce; and grandson, Zachary Bruce.
</p>
<p>
Arrangements have been entrusted to G. H. Herrmann Greenwood Funeral Home at The Gardens of Olive Branch, 1605 S. State Road 135.
</p>
<p>
A Celebration of Life will be held for Ron at a later date.
</p>
