The second-ranked Center Grove boys golf team posted a tournament record score of 283 in winning Saturday’s Trojan Classic at Hickory Stick Golf Club.
Senior C.J. Heck earned medalist honors by carding a career-low five-under par 66. Sophomore Ethan Shepherd and freshman Noah Gillard finished second and third with scores of 71 and 72, respectively.
Austin Crowder was next with a 74, and Zack Carrabine had a 75.
Plainfield (309) finished second, 26 strokes off the pace, while Providence (312) was third.
Franklin (318) was fifth, and Roncalli (350) was eighth in the nine-team tournament.
Leading the way for the Grizzly Cubs was Blake Andrews with a 79, while Jake Hash and Chase Neville each carded an 80.
Evan Wray posted the low score for the Rebels with a 78.
