The Veteran’s Day poppy drive for Greenwood VFW Post 5864 is set for Saturday.
Volunteers are needed to help with the distribution of poppies at several business locations.
If you wish to help, call post Commander Steve Milbourn at 317-525-7291. Residents planning to help will meet at the post at 7 a.m. Saturday.
The VFW also will conduct a poppy drive from 9 a.m. to 2 p.m. Friday at Sam’s Club.
All the money collected goes to the post’s relief fund which helps veterans, their families and homeless veterans with expenses such as gas, groceries or utility bills.
Donations will be accepted.
