Local history gets festive

Johnson County Museum of History is getting festive for Christmas. Holiday activities start next weekend.

Kids can visit with Santa Claus from 1:30 to 4:30 p.m. Dec. 3 and noon to 3 p.m. Dec. 10.

Meet Santa and get a free 4-by-6 photograph with him during the Holiday Lighting. Lines will be long, so families should plan ahead.

The museum’s holiday open house will be 1 to 3 p.m. Dec. 17. The Voices will perform on the first floor and cookies and punch will also be served. The event is free and open to the public.
