Hearts

My heart goes out to all whose hearts are heavy at this time, be patient. Count your blessings and stay close to our Father. May God bless you and God bless America.

A big thanks to Monarch Beverage for sponsoring the Interchurch Food Pantry of Johnson County for one week around the Christmas holidays to feed the hungry in our community. Similarly, a big thanks to L.D. Mechanical Contractors and Dr. Linda Frechette who have sponsored the pantry for one day and Maurer Surveying who sponsored the pantry for a half day. These sponsorships allow the pantry to alleviate hunger during this holiday season. Thank you!

Hearts to the staff and volunteers at the Johnson County Museum. Thank you for an outstanding field trip for our first, second and third grade students. The children loved it and said it was the best field trip ever. You went above and beyond to help the children understand history and connect it to life today. The museum is a wonderful, hidden gem and we hope more teachers, students and community members will take advantage of it. Thank you again!

I want to thank the honest person who turned in my purse which I left in the shopping cart at Aldi on Southport Road. I had driven several miles from the store when I realized I didn’t have my purse. Rushing back to the store, I knew I had left it in my cart. An honest woman had turned it in. I tried to find her to thank her but she had left the store. Thank you! This act of kindness is so appreciated and has helped restore my faith in humankind.
