Letter: Busy road needs speed-limit adjustment

To the editor:

Driving east on Smith Valley Road (in Greenwood) near the railroad tracks, the speed limit sign says 35 mph. But as one approaches the very tight turn lanes area just west of State Road 135, the speed limit sign reads “Begin 40 mph.” During heavier traffic times, this becomes very dangerous as many are not real familiar with this very tight traffic area.

Would suggest that “Begin 40 mph” sign be replaced with a “Begin 30 mph” sign and move it back west a hundred feet or so.
