PROVIDENCE
Viola M. (Ellett) Pierce, 96, of Providence, passed away on Friday, April 13, 2018 at the Indiana Masonic Home. She was born on April 18, 1921 in Waverly, Indiana to James and Pearl (Smith) Ellett.
Viola married Chester Pierce on October 5, 1940 in Waverly, Indiana, he preceded her in death on February 11, 2003. She was employed at Arvin Industries in Franklin for over 40 years.
Viola is survived by two sisters, Dorothy Dine and Helen Richart and many nieces and nephews. She is preceded in death by a sister, Ruth Miller and six brothers, Damon Ellett, Archibald Ellett, Dale Ellett, Clyde Ellett, Frederick Ellett and Raymond Ellett.
A visitation will be Friday, April 20, 2018 from 10:00 am until the time of service at Jessen Funeral Home, Franklin Chapel. Service will be conducted at 11:00 am. Burial will be at Greenlawn Cemetery in the Masonic Section. In lieu of flowers memorial contributions can be made to Transitions Hospice or the Indiana Masonic Home.
