Local named as Governor’s Fellow

Governor Eric J. Holcomb announced that a Greenwood resident was named a Governor’s Fellow.

The Governor’s Fellowship is a selective, year-long program for recent graduates who have an interest in state government service.

Fellows are full-time paid employees who work in various state agencies on a rotating basis over the course of a year and learn firsthand how policies are made and implemented.

Richard Davenport, of Greenwood, graduated from Biola University in 2016 with a bachelor of arts degree in public relations with a minor in biblical studies. He is currently working on a graduate business certificate at Ball State University. He interned with the Indiana Senate Majority Caucus during the 2018 legislative session.

Express Employment gives to nonprofit

Express Employment Professionals in Greenwood gave $500 to the Mount Pleasant Christian Church IMPACT Center.

The IMPACT Center is a ministry of Mount Pleasant Christian Church, which focuses to provide support and resources to people in Central Indiana.

Credit Union donates through debit cards

Indiana Members Credit Union gave $3,208 to Community Health Network Foundation as part of an ongoing debit card give back program.

The partnership allows members to show their support of the independent nonprofit hospital system by signing up for and using a Community Health Network debit card.
