Man, woman with warrants arrested for drug possession, auto theft

Franklin police arrested two people after sheriff’s deputies spotted a woman wanted on multiple warrants in the parking lot of a fast food restaurant.

Torey ShaeAnne Burbrink, 32, 50 W. Madison Street, Franklin, was arrested on two felony warrants for dealing in methamphetamine and dealing in a schedule II controlled substance. She was also arrested on additional charges of auto theft, possession of methamphetamine and possession of paraphernalia.

John Robert Rader, 42, 26 E. Roszell Drive, Nineveh, who was seen with Burbrink at the restaurant, was also arrested on charges of possession of methamphetamine and possession of a syringe.

Burbrink was in the passenger seat of a car about 4:15 p.m. Wednesday in the restaurant parking lot, according to a Franklin police report.

Sheriff’s deputies said they saw Rader get out of the driver’s seat of a SUV parked next to the car, which was reported stolen, according to the report.

Police found a syringe inside Rader’s jacket. Inside the stolen SUV, they found two digital scales. Police later found a syringe cap in his coat pocket which contained a white substance suspected to be methamphetamine, according to the report.

During a search of Burbrink at the jail, deputies found a small plastic bag containing a white substance suspected to be methamphetamine, the report said.

Burbrink is being held at the Johnson County jail on $19,900 bond. Rader is being held on $2,400 bond.
