Letter: Town leaders cost Bargersville jobs, money

To the editor:

On the Sunday before Easter (Pam Sunday), we drove through Bargersville. I looked again in dismay at the deserted area formerly Bargersville Flea Market.

It seems the Bargersville gestapo found a problem, where there was none. They over regulated an event that brought thousands of dollars into local businesses such as restaraunts, gas stations, convenience stores and others. This heavy-handed ruling shut down the famous Bargersville Flea Market.

It was a gathering place where friends could meet and buy or sell surplus items. Food stands inside the flea market did a brisk business. Now all is gone. I hope Bargersville town fathers are proud to have cost the town employment and lots of money.
