A Franklin woman was arrested after she sold drugs while her child watched on two occasions, police said.
Hannah Cearing, 29, 1271 E. Adams Drive, was charged with dealing a schedule III controlled substance with a child, a level 4 felony, and dealing a schedule III controlled substance, a level 5 felony.
Police gathered evidence that Cearing sold pills twice in August. Her 8-year-old daughter witnessed the deal on one occasion, according to court documents.
Franklin detectives began an investigation after receiving a tip that Cearing may be selling drugs in the presence of her child.Â
Cearing is accused of selling pain pills.
A warrant was issued, and she was arrested this week and taken to the Johnson County jail. She was released on $19,800 bond.Â
The Department of Child Services has been contacted, court documents said.
