INSEPARABLE FILM TOUR, 6:30 to 8:30 p.m. today, Historic Artcraft Theatre, 57 N. Main St., Franklin.

Living in Johnson County is to experience rural, suburban and urban life, sometimes all in the same day. The county’s strong agricultural tradition is juxtaposed with its location as part of the Indianapolis metropolitan area. Explore how those differences and similarities impact our communities during this special film series, created by Indiana Humanities.

People will be able to view five short films exploring racial integration, rural life, city pride and other ideas. Admission to the film series is free, but advance registration is recommended at inseperablefilmsfranklin.eventbrite.com.

JOHNSON COUNTY KIDS GOT TALENT, 6 to 9 p.m. Friday, Franklin Community High School, 2600 Cumberland Drive, $10.

The youth of Johnson County have plenty of unique and awe-worthy talent. Some of the area’s best will be on display during the second annual Johnson County Kids Got Talent event. Young people will sing, dance, play instruments or showcase other talents during this entertainment spectacular, with prizes awarded in two separate age groups.

The event will benefit Youth Connections, a nonprofit aimed at enhancing the quality of life for youth and their family members through programs such as Safe Place, human trafficking awareness, custody evaluations and Families in Transition, for families going through divorce.
