Karon is an English teacher at Franklin Community Middle School and is fighting cancer. All proceeds will be used to help with her medical expenses.

VFW 5864 AUXILIARY HOSTING VALENTINE’S DAY SOCK HOP ENTERTAINMENT, 8 p.m. to around midnight, Feb. 14, 1842 Veterans Way, Greenwood.
Entertainment will be by “Krazy Kris and his Karaoke.” There is no charge to get in, but donations will be accepted for 15 different door prizes. There will also be a raffle and a 50/50 drawing. The Post’s regular menu will be available beginning at 6 p.m. Event is open to the public.
