Jacob Michael “Jake” Mann, 22 years young, passed away peacefully in his home on Friday, April 24th, 2020. Jake is the youngest son of Brett E. and Stephanie R. (Barrett) Mann. He was born on Thursday, September 11, 1997 in Indianapolis, Indiana, bringing joy and completion to their family!

Jake was a wildly talented young man with a kind heart and sweet smile that could light up a room. He had a passion for hockey, the arts, fashion and traveling, especially family vacations to Colorado!

He was a graduate of Center Grove High School with the class of 2016, playing on the South Stars Hockey Team throughout his high school years. Following graduation, he attended the University of Indianapolis for the next two years, where he continued pursuing his love for the game, playing on the UIndy/IUPUI Jaguars Hockey Team. Currently, Jake was continuing his education at IUPUI in Indianapolis.

Jake loved, and is loved, by his family and friends who miss him deeply including his parents, Brett and Stephanie Mann of Greenwood, IN; his oldest brother, Zack (wife, Danielle) Mann of Caddo Mills, TX; sister, Megan (husband, Adam) Howe of Mooresville, IN; youngest brother, Joe Mann of Greenwood, IN; paternal grandmother, Pamela H. Mann of Greenwood, IN; maternal grandparents, Ken and Linda Barrett of Martinsville and countless aunts, uncles, cousins, nieces and nephews.

He was preceded in death by his paternal grandfather, Michael E. Mann.

The family celebrated Jake’s life with an intimate gathering on April 28, 2020. There will be an additional celebration of his life as conditions from the pandemic improve and restrictions are lifted.
