Drivers should expect lane closures as an asphalt resurfacing project gets underway between Franklin and Amity on Tuesday.
Dave O’Mara Contractor Inc., a contractor for the Indiana Department of Transportation, will begin work on or after Tuesday to patch, mill and repave the section of U.S. 31 from just south of State Road 144, near the Young’s Creek Bridge in Franklin, to just north of State Road 252 junction with U.S. 31 south of Amity, according to an INDOT news release.
The $6.2 million contract is expected to be completed later this summer. All work is weather-dependent and schedules are subject to change, INDOT officials say.
