Whiteland Utilities officials are asking customers to conserve water because of water overuse in drought conditions.
The utility began experiencing low water pressure on Monday and posted a message online Monday asking customers to limit lawn watering, car washing and other activities that use a lot of water but are not essential. They should continue limiting water use until the utility restores normal pressure within the water system.
