We may have created a monster born out of nostalgia.

In looking through old photos recently, I came across one with our car in the background. The photo brought back a flood of memories of all the good times we had in that car.

While President Joe Biden is off doing Civil War reenactments, American families are left trying to balance household budgets that are being smashed by soaring prices. Inflation topped 7% in 2021, the largest surge in consumer costs since 1982.

This weekend we set aside time to remember Dr. Martin Luther King, Jr. and reflect upon his influence. Classrooms around the country will replay some of his speeches, and students together will read his “Letter from a Birmingham Jail.” It is necessary that they do so, and no Americans can count themselves as truly educated who have not read much of his most popular arguments.

The omicron surge couldn’t have come at a worse time.

Indiana Gov. Eric Holcomb had a peculiar political problem as he prepared to deliver his sixth State of the State Address.

Last week in this space, data showed Indiana performed well compared to most other states in the COVID-induced economic decline and rebound of 2020-21. Today, consider a longer period of time, 2007 through 2019.
