<p><strong>To the editor:</strong></p><p>I worked with the Israel Air Force for over 12 years and enjoyed friendships with many of the sabra engineers and officers. There are many liberal and progressive Israelis who actively oppose the oppressive nationalistic policies of the Likud party and its leadership. It is tragic that liberals and progressives in America, many of whom are Jewish, are accused of being anti-Semitic for criticizing those same policies and their leadership.</p><p>Nationalism is a disease, whether Austrian, Israeli or American. Criticizing nationalism is a legitimate ethical and political statement and does not deserve to be put down by false labels and finger-pointing. Criticism of Donald Trump and his nationalism is not anti-American and criticism of Benjamin Netanyahu and his nationalism is not anti-Semitic!</p><p><p><strong>Donald A.
