Boys Basketball

Cougars remain unbeaten

Andrew Anderson had 19 points, leading four players in double figures as Class A No. 4 Greenwood Christian topped Victory College Prep, 67-59, on Tuesday.

Derek Peterson added 15 points for the Cougars (3-0), while brothers Champ and Styles McCorkle scored 11 each.

GCA routs Chargers

Class A No. 9 Greenwood Christian throttled Central Christian on Tuesday, 89-23. Izzy Reed led the Cougars (6-2, 3-0 PAAC) with 26 points, with Ellie Bigelow and Savvanah Frye adding 23 and 20, respectively.

Trojans sweep Warriors

Center Grove took both halves of Tuesday’s dual meet against visiting Whiteland, with the boys rolling to a 141-38 victory and the girls pulling out a 99-87 win.

Grizzly Cubs earn sweep

Franklin’s girls narrowly defeated Plainfield on Tuesday, 95-91, while the boys won by a more comfortable 112-73 count.

Mac Ratzlaff (50 freestyle, 100 butterfly) and Albert Nusawardhana (200 IM, 500 freestyle) were double winners for the Grizzly Cubs.

Woodmen split with Falcons

Greenwood’s girls topped Perry Meridian by a 115-70 margin on Tuesday, while the Woodmen dropped the boys meet 95-85.

Alayna Kenworthy (200 freestyle, 100 backstroke), Naomi Weaver (200 IM, 100 breaststroke) and Grace Nuhfer (50 free, 100 butterfly) each won two events for the Woodmen girls. Ava Leininger was first in the 100 freestyle, while Conner Peckinpaugh and Madison Peckinpaugh took the boys and girls 500 free.
